Ten days ago, on August 6, 2017, I visited the Niagara Falls together with Brett and his father. The car drive there took us about four hours, during which we came through northern Pennsylvania and the east of the State of New York. In the beginning, the landscape was thickly wooded, but in New York it was more flat.
We then crossed the US-Canadian border via Rainbow Bridge which connects the both sister cities called Niagara Falls on the US and on the Canadian side. According to Google, that should us have taken more than an hour, but apparently it went faster.

After we arrived on the Canadian side, we walked along the riverside to the mooring of the „Maid of the Mist“. From there, the Falls were already well visible.
On the photo below you can see the „Maid of the Mist“, the boat with which it is possible to get close in front of the Niagara Falls. Boats like this are starting from the US as well as from the Canadian side, and depending on which side you enter a boat, you get blue (US side) or red ponchos (Canadian side).
Apropos of nothing, I discovered this here on a light pole:

It’s time that the Bundesliga restarts again 😉
We then took one of the Maid of the Mist boats. I thought at first that the mist which is created by the water falling down in the depth would only be like a drizzle. I was wrong, as I found out afterwards:

As you can see on the pictures, we were pretty wet.
And now at the end, some pictures to enjoy 🙂
